Lost Austin Opening Reception
October 22nd, 6-9pm
Parts and Labour
1117 S Congress Ave
Austin, Texas 78704

Long-Time Austinite Tim Doyle turns his artistic eye to his adopted home-town, and the landmarks of Austin that have slipped into memory. LOST AUSTIN is a new series of illustrated serigraphs, celebrating the Austin that was. "The Austin Chronicle-Best of Austin" winning artist for 5 years running, Tim Doyle has a worldwide fan base of collectors for his series of pop-culture art-prints, and he is very pleased to finally honor the city that birthed his artistic career.

These signed and numbered, limited edition prints will available for sale exclusively at Parts & Labour (and at beginning Friday, October 23rd at 10am)
This event is free and open to the public, come and reminisce about "the good 'ole days" over snacks and cocktails.

Find us at The Art Market during Austin City Limits Festival!

Local artists have a unique creative and business opportunity to showcase their talent at the ACL Art Market and we've very happy to be back for our 11th year at the festival! Can you believe it?
The Art Market is located in the center of Zilker Park and all booths will be open throughout the duration of the festival, all three days.
So stop by and say hello to your favorite Austin shop and see a great collection of some of our favorite items from the store!

They say we're "all-over-the-place"!

Understand that I now see myself as the classic Austin small business owner - just disorganized enough, just A.D.D. enough, and not realizing how many hats need to get worn to get the job done. Above all, the social media hat is swallowing me whole - webstore, blog, Instagram, Facebook, all wasting away somewhere in space... and don't forget people need Pinterest, Tumblr, and whatever other viewfinder to the intangible and unattainable lives we think we want. First world problems, ya ya ya.

My point (if one exists) is that I've been told some things by people whom I regard as pros.
#1. I was told I need to continue to maintain a blog for the shop.
#2. I was told the blog needs needs a voice.
#3. I was told the voice of the blog should be mine - initially.

As my friend likes to say, "Sorry fo' ya!" Here's your warning to UNFOLLOW now. The hack-writing has begun. Apologies for being absent (in every sense of the word), and apologies for being present.

All I can do is try - and keep trying, right? Cheers!

Party's Over

But what a party it was! Thanks to everyone who came out to boogie with us last night! We had a blast and we hope you did too. Stay tuned to facebook and the blog for links to the party photographs. Thanks to all the people who helped make it possible....Revival Motorcycles, Transplants Floral, Green Wheel Studios, JaRa Films, Austin Boogie Crew, Sanctuary Printing, all the awesome vendors who donated goods for the raffle, and of course Cenote for letting us boogie on their dance-floor!
A million hearts, XO P&L
